One of the fluorescent plastic stars given to me by my mother in the recent years is fixed upon a moulded piece of rubber (found object) onto which the label C E communicates European Community standards. It dominated the space of the Stars Series Open Studios, framed in a small red stretcher loosely placed around it's mixed media painting, as if allowing it to expand. Ideally, the painting will later live up in the corner between 2 walls, in a similar manner.
